There’s something special about a Minnesota barn wedding in the summer. The golden light, the lush greenery, and the wide-open spaces make it a literal dream for any wedding photographer. And let me tell you, Natalicia and Doug’s August wedding at Creekside Farm was nothing short of magical!
A Wild (and Wonderful) Experience
Fun fact: these two booked me as their photographer just TWO WEEKS before their wedding. Yep, you read that right. Holy moly, that’s wild! But when I say everything came together perfectly, I mean it. I was so happy I had an opening in my schedule and was able to be there to capture their wedding day, because it was such an unforgettable experience and they were such a lovely couple to work with!
The Perfect Barn Venue in Minnesota
Creekside Farm is one of those venues that just *gets* wedding photography. There are so many incredible spots for photos! We took full advantage of the iconic barn doors, the open fields at golden hour, and of course the beautiful interior of the barn. Natalicia and Doug wanted their photos to reflect everything they love: lush greenery, open spaces, and a touch of rustic charm. And let me tell you, this venue delivered on every single level!
Capturing the Must-Have Moments
When we talked about the must-have photos, Natalicia and Doug knew exactly what they wanted captured most: breathtaking bridal portraits, moments of love and laughter during the ceremony, and fun and lively bridal party photos full of favorite people. And if they could only take away one single photo from the whole day? They said it would be a photo of the two of them, soaking in the absolute joy of their best day ever. (cue the happy tears!)
But the heart of this wedding wasn’t just in the details or the perfect summer lighting, it was in the people. Family means everything to Natalicia and Doug, and this day was all about celebrating with their closest loved ones. It’s not every day you get all of your favorite people in one place, and they made every moment count.
