Fall weddings are always a special kind of magic, and Lauren and Austin’s November wedding was no exception. These two have been together for ten years (yes, you read that right!), and their big day was all about finally making it official, soaking up time with their people, and dancing the night away.
The Dreamiest Venue: FIVE Event Center
FIVE Event Center is one of my favorite Minneapolis wedding venues, and Lauren and Austin chose it for all the right reasons. The huge windows and high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and stunning main staircase create the perfect mix of industrial charm with soft romantic light. It was the perfect cozy-but-classic vibe for their fall wedding. Plus all the warm, natural light that filled the space is a photographer’s absolute dream.
Ten Years in the Making
After an entire decade together, these two were more than ready to say “I do.” And the fact that they have such a long history together made their day all the more special to witness!
Lauren and Austin are the kind of couple who make you feel right at home the moment you meet them. They’re both super laid-back and type B to the core. They’re the couple who would rather spend a night in with a glass of wine, cuddling their pup and watching a movie over anything else. And their cozy indoor fall wedding was a perfect reflection of that energy!
Intentional Memories and Candid Moments
Lauren and Austin are all about the candids (perfect because candid photography is my jam!). They told me they wanted their photos to feel real and authentic, capturing those moments of pure joy and emotion with the people they love most. They especially wanted me to capture the emotion on their faces during their first look together and when they were walking back up the aisle with all of their family and friends celebrating in the background. I’m so glad I was able to capture so many of these sweet raw and unfiltered moments of their special day for them to look back on!
One thing I loved about their wedding day was how intentional they were with their photos. Instead of rushing through the usual family lineup before the ceremony, they personally dismissed each table at dinner, snapping photos with their guests as they went. I love that they took the time to connect with every single guest who was there to celebrate with them. Plus it gave us dedicated time for stress-free photos with everyone so that afterward the couple could just enjoy dancing the night away!
A Celebration Worth The Wait
Once the dance floor opened up, it was game over. Lauren and Austin brought the energy and were ready to party. With all their favorite people in one place, they made sure to soak up *every* second, and the energy was absolutely contagious. I swear, I don’t think I saw a single person not smiling all night!
